Silk Care Instructions

Wash:
You can clean your silk in 3 ways:

Option 1: Dry-clean. Ask your dry cleaner to pay careful attention to any buttons.

Option 2: Hand-wash in cold water with a gentle fabric soap and softener. Soak for up to 30 mins then rinse off soap with cold water. Handle gently and do not rub, spot-treat or wring. Press against the sink to remove excess water before drying.

Option 3: Machine-wash: Place into a mesh bag and wash with "delicates" or "hand-wash" setting on the shortest time setting with no/low spin. Use cold water with a gentle fabric soap and softener. Do not use regular detergent. Do not use medium or high temperature. All silk styles can be machine-washed.

Choose whichever method you're most comfortable with.
Helpful washing tips:
Do not spot treat garments. Rubbing in one spot can cause lightening in that area. To remove stains, wash the entire garment.
Do not wring or rub the garment.
Use a gentle fabric soap suitable for silk and delicates, not regular detergent.
Add a small amount of fabric softener during washing.

Drying:
Air-dry only. DO NOT TUMBLE DRY IN A DRYER.
After washing, remove excess water by gently rolling up the garment in a towel or pressing between two towels. Lay flat to air-dry or hang dry on a hanger. Re-shape while wet. Do not wring the garment. Steam after drying.

Removing wrinkles:
Use a garment steamer to remove any wrinkles.
If you don't have a steamer, use an iron on the lowest setting, ironing the garment inside-out with gentle steam on, and a thin cloth or towel placed over the silk.

Storage:

Fold and store in a dry, air-tight bag to avoid moisture, stretch, and moth damage. With good care, you can enjoy your cashmere garment for many years to come.
